How to Eat a Healthy, Energy Packed Breakfast Each Morning

28 May 2010

It should come as no surprise to you that breakfast is your most important meal during the day.  It kicks starts the fire in your body and revs your metabolism. Not to mention that it’s a proven fact that if you start your day of right then that will set the tone for the entire day giving you a better chance to stay healthy during the your and into your exercises to lose weight.

How often do you eat no break fast because you don’t know what to eat?   Let’s look at some fast, but highly nutritious breakfast options you can easily use.   Because if you’re like most people, you really don’t have time to prepare a 40 minute meal. You got to get it, eat it, and get out the door.

First, you have to hydrate yourself. Yes, I know that’s not a food, but it’s is so important that you drink some water when you wake up, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Everybody is dehydrated and when you drink about a quart of water, you will feel so much better… it might even kick start your hunger.

Eat some shredded wheat. I love to eat shredded wheat in the morning.  I love shredded wheat because it gets me my morning dose of fiber.   Fiber is really important for your diet and everybody can use more fiber.   Fiber is a proven substance that will help you lose body fat, cleans out your intestines, and keeps you on a regular schedule.  It doesn’t have to be shredded wheat but get some fiber.

There is another really great benefit where you body will use high fiber carbs to create glucose which is one of your bodies main energy sources.  Not only does your body need some energy, but your brain needs that glucose too.

Next, it’s a great idea to get some protein during your morning to wake those muscles up.   I suggest you get some good protein shake recipes like whey protein with milk and yogurt… it’s great and not too filling and perfect with some shredded wheat.   Protein is the perfect energy source to round out a great breakfast.

Now your ready to get your workout plans in and during that just keep drinking your water and you can also have your coffee too!

What To Look For In Walking Shoes

28 May 2010

Walking shoes versus running shoes

Most people believe that the same shoes can be used for both walking and running.  This is not true.  Don’t be confused when shopping for shoes – walking and running shoes are very different.  Shoes for running are made with more strength and durability in the midsole, where your foot strikes the ground when running.   Walking shoes have a thinner midsole to handle the rolling of the foot from one end to the other (from heel to toes).  This thinner midsole gives your feet a more natural walking feeling.  A walking shoe has a more flexible outsole (which is the bottom of the shoe), whereas running shoes have stiffer outsoles.

Top TIps for Selecting Walking Shoes

Knowing what to look for in a walking shoe is important prior to selecting a pair.  Taking the time to choose the right walking shoes could mean the difference between a pair of shoes you love versus a pair that makes your feet sore and fatigued.  When you buy a pair of walking shoes, look for:

To facilitate a natural rolling movement from heel to toe, a round or beveled heel.

A flexible forefoot, which allows for movement and bending at the ball, not the arch of the foot.

A breatheable and lightweight shoe – the very last thing you want is heavy, clunky footwear.

A forgiving and flexible upper – the top part of the shoe.

The importance of proper fit

The most comfortable shoe is the best fitting shoe.  A comfortable shoe doesn’t have to be the most expensive one – it is one that you love to wear.  For proper fit, please:

Try on the shoes at the end of the day, when your feet are the most tired and swollen.

Try on shoes at least a full size larger than your regular size.

The toes should have plenty of wiggle room, and should never touch the end of the shoe.

Try on many pairs.

Walk around in the shoes, on both carpet and hard floors.

Wear the same socks you will use when you exercise.

The walking movement is growing exponentially, as more people enjoy the healthy benefits of low-impact walking for exercise.  Walking requires different movement of your body, and requires a different style of shoe.  Every step you take is important – choose the right walking shoe to ensure the maximum benefit.

Best way to Treat Hemorrhoid

24 May 2010

What is the meaning of Hemorrhoids and in what manner may they be appropriately treated? Hemorrhoids start because a pressure is applied to the rectum or anal area, which may be started by constipation, being seated for long amounts of time and intense weight-lifting.

Due to these reasons, there is an increased pressure on the rectal and anus area, which causes the veins to bulge. Hemorrhoids are veins that are enlarged in the area of the rectum. In very bad cases, the veins are unable to coexist with such pressure and may burst and start bleeding.

A certain fallacy exists among individuals that Hemorrhoids could be externally treated with the application of cream and other medicines in the area that is affected. However, this supposition may not be more untrue. The initial treatment procedures aim at relieving the symptoms which could be causing the patient unbearable pain and suffering.

Bathing in warm water various times throughout the day may reduce the discomfort and calm the nerves. Ice packs are also used in order to reduce the swelling due to bulging veins. Cortisone creams, hemorrhoid cream and petroleum jelly may additionally assist in pain relief when applied.

You must also clean the anus after each bowel movement. There are more methods that are sometimes used to get rid of internal Hemorrhoids when the situation does not get better after these treatment protocols.

Rubber band tying is an often performed way for people to treat Hemorrhoids. The situation involves putting the tiny band on the bottom of the Hemorrhoid. This band halts blood supply when it gets to the Hemorrhoid which causes the death of a Hemorrhoid and it will drop off during the timeframe of a week.

The Injection Sclerotherapy process involves chemical injection in an area close to the Hemorrhoid. Inflammation of the vein is caused by the chemical which results in the shrinkage of the Hemorrhoid.

The Infrared Photocoagulation process consists of infrared light which causes veins to clot which makes blood supply to the Hemorrhoid stop so the Hemorrhoid becomes little and falls completely off.

Electric current is applied to the Hemorrhoids in Laser Coagulation. This electric current causes a chemical reaction which additionally causes blood to stop being supplied to the Hemorrhoid. Due to lack of blood, it gradually loses its size and shrinks.

The surgical treatment option is known as Hemorrhoidectomy, where the Hemorrhoids are removed from the anal canal. All these procedures are very effective in helping get rid of Hemorrhoids and after a physician consultation you may select one.

From this article, I can list many ways to treat Hemorrhoids but I think you should check out my website for better advise.
